How much pull?

Hi, I have a 95 F-150, 5.0, Automatic w/ Overdrive, 2wd. My question is will I be able to pull a 7x14 enclosed trailer carrying 2 lawnmowers? That is a lot of weight and I do not know if the F-150 has enough torque to get it going and more importantly, can it stop all that weight.

Right now, I have a 6x10 open trailer, and it pulls it just fine.

Any suggestions are helpful.

What do you think the overall weight of the trailer and lawn mowers is? Most here say 5-6,000 lbs is the max towing with these half tons.

Mowers and equiptment probably total near 2000lbs. but I do not know what the average weight of a 7x14 enclosed trailer is.

Well, as long as that enclosed trailer doesnt weigh more than 3,000 lbs, you should be good. The bumper hitch is only rated up to 5,000 lbs

what kinds of mowers are we talking about walk behind or riders? either way with a 7x 14 trailer i dont think that is to much for the f 150, although i bet your gonna wish you had the 300 i6 in it. thats one tourquey motor. i pulled around load of logs, leaves, mowers and equipment for 1 year with an 87 s-10 w/275000 miles on it original 2.8 v6 motor and auto tranny and it suvived.

i still drive it to this day. those s-10's 82-93 are some damn tough small little trucks. they just go forever.

They are rider mowers, but I think the truck will move it all.
