Put in a kenwood cd player today as my factory unit was not very good anymore. After install, i noticed that the light for the air bag was on and that the light on the dash for the passenger side airbag was off. Anybody here had this happen and now how to fix it? Will removing the airbag fuse turn the light out? Your help is much appreciated.
Try reinstalling your original radio, then see what your airbag light is doing. I'm no electrician, but it may give you an idea if you did anything to cause it.
About a year ago, my passenger side air bag "OFF" light quit working, causing the airbag light on my dash to flash. My Ford dealer wanted to charge me $100 just to hook up their scan tool with parts and labor adding up from there. I wound up going to the local junk yard, pulling an airbag switch from an F150 corpse and installing it in my own truck. Worked like a charm!

Does the airbag light flash? If so, what code pattern?
Did you intentionally disable the passenger side airbag with your key?
If so, my guess is it's flashing a 2-7 code.
If so, the PAD bulb has probably burned out. You can replace the bulb for a buck or two with one from Radio Shack. Requires soldering.
