no fire to distributor after replacement

1989 F-150. replaced the module on the distributor recently. After replacement, truck ran rough and used MUCH fuel. Re-timed and reinstalled the distributor, after installation, no fire from the coil whatsoever. Appreciate any input from guys smarter than me(like EVERYONE else out there). Thanx
