so uh, i havent sold my truck yet and im getting kind of sick of having it... too many vehicles right now, i'd like to sell it and get a ranger...
is a trade in a bad idea? i know id get less than selling it but its getting to the point where i dont really care anymore cuz its costing me money to have it plated... anyone have an idea what i would get for trade in value on my truck?ive never delt with a dealership before so would i get bent over or...?
You will get bent over alog! Don`t expect to get anything for your tradein. Try afew car lots for laughs and then sell your`s for what ever you can get. Then go shopping for the best cash price on a Ranger that you can find. Without a tradein you should be able to swing a much better deal.
You would do better to sell it yourself that is for sure. But if you have in mind the price you want for your truck go shop around and when you are negotiating a price of a truck, deal on the difference and that alone do not worry about the other numbers. Always keep in mind the price you want for your truck but don't tell them what you want for your truck. If you get a deal you can live with, there you go. Also, you only have to pay tax on the difference and don't let them tell you otherwise. So you may save a little on tax that way.
I would say, unless you get the "perfect" truck that you want, and you think it wont last, then trade it in. Otherwise you will get bent over, and the dealers are too cheap to use lube!
What is your truck you want to sell? I think I saw you posted it somewhere and I forgot what you have. My nephew told me the other day he wants a 94-96 ford truck. He is 14 now so he has to save money up to get it.
Have you tried posting it on Mysask.com. It is free to Sask residents. I also use Forsaleforrent.com Right now they have a promotion for free ads, it also goes by the name Usedsaskatchewan.com also. I pay the $25. a year to put on as many ads as I want. Your allowed up to 250 words and 5 pics per ad. This helps and I have gotten lots of responses on these 2 sites.
