okay guys, I apologize up front for what might appear as beating this horse to death, but here goes. I'm looking to replace the front brakes on my 2000 drw 4x4, they're just worn to the point of replacement, I have 86k on it right now and I have never had to replace the fronts before, just the rears and that was only because the dealer screwed up when replacing the rear axle seal under warranty which soaked em. (dealer couldn't do it for me cause hey burned up right after I got my truck out of there, talk about karma!!) Anyway, I'm almost ready to buy the ART's, but I guess just need the push to make the investment, I have also heard a fair amount of success (through some of the old post) with Napa's top of the line, and that IS what I had put in the rears-couldn't wait for for ANY shipping on them, with no problems. Gonna be looking to do three axles total, as the wife has an X with the usual front vibration, still has plenty of material, just rattles your teeth when stopping. I just like the idea of being able to go a mile and a half to the Napa guys to get em a little cheaper AND also NOT having to pay shipping for a LOT of brake parts.
I got the NAPA "top of the line" front rotors and simi metallic pads. Happy so far. I baught them through my work so I got a discount. They listed for $161 for each rotor and $87 for the pads. I paid $101 for each rotor and $66 for the pads.
I have ART rotors & pads. Replaced the stock fronts at 50K. I am very happy with their performance. I admit ART is not the cheapest. I don't care, I want performance. I noticed the difference right away. Never tried NAPA.

thanks to you too Bryyce, we must have been typing at the same time, but same ??? to you, how long have you had em on? do you tow or have her loaded up?
I just put on EBC rotors and their Green SUV HD pads. I've had em on for about a week or so, so obviously I can't speak for the durability, but so far as brake dust, and heat fade go, they have been great so far
Take a look at the Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads. I use them and they are every bit as good as anything else out there and much more reasonable. You'll get the same increase in stopping power, fade resistance and life and save a few bucks in the process. Give us a call we'll get you a quote based on the pad compound you need based on the way you use your truck.
Hey,
I tow a 16' boat and occasionally load up the rig to about 1000 lbs with the boat also. I've had these brakes for about 10000 miles. Very satisfied customer at this point. Feel of the brakes was noticibally better than stock right from the get-go. I have contact info if you're interested.
