Degreasing Bath Tubs
First You Divorce The Wife, So You Don't Hear The Rants!
Oh, You Want A Practical Solution. Go To A Smart And Final, And Look For A Degreaser They Sell. Pretty Tough Stuff. You Get A Gallon? And It's Strong. Try Full Strength! We had this loudmouth in the maintenance program who was always carrying on about his Mazdas..... Older RX7's or whatever that looked and sounded like crap, but they'd beat anything else out on the street (according to him), blah, blah, blah. Terribly annoying individual. While we never really thought about it much, the fact that he always seemed to smell bad just kind of matched his personality. We found out one day that there was more to the story.
Apparently, his landlord dropped by his apartment to do a routine inspection (or, what do I know, maybe he heard an impact wrench in the kitchen). As the guy walks in, he sees a half-built rotary engine sitting on the coffee table, with a huge patch of oil stained carpet beneath it. As the landlord picks his jaw up and proceeds through the rest of the apartment, he goes into the bathroom and finds not one, but two, engine blocks soaking in a 14" bath of solid black degreaser in the bath tub. Must have been tricky to straddle those and stand in the shower
! I don't know what the damages were, but he was evicted in short order. Hey, at least he didn't keep any pets in there, right?
