trailer question
I currently have a Big Tex 6.5' x 12' tandem axle trailer, with the single axle brake option. I also carry quads on this trailer, along with our other off-road gear. Even though the trailer only weighs about 1,100 lbs. empty, with the quads and gear on it, it is about 3,000 lbs.
Yes, our trucks will handle that easily, but you can really feel the difference with and without the trailer brake. When the trailer brakes are used, the stopping is almost effortless. It will definately help keep your truck brakes from excess wear when towing. I highly recommend you get the brake package.
Good Luck,
JJ
