Power Steering

Could a bad power steering pump stall the motor while going down the interstate. The motor is stalling out to the point of dying. There is aot of fluid on the frame. Also the fluid level is over flowing. The fluid is a chocolate brown color. The pump still seams to be working. How can I test the pump? Thanks for the help in advance.

Power Steering

It could be freezing up. Loosen the belt and turn it by hand. Might make a slight noise normally but not too much.

i doubt very much your power steering pump is stalling your engine on interstate if pump was locking up belt would burn first probly sending it out on the interstate and you would of lost your power steering all together i would check ignition or fuel delivery to see if your problem is there
i hope i shed some light on this subject
