Straight Pipes?

I have an 05 5.4L with true duals running 2.5 in pipes with 2 40 series 2-chamber Flowmasters and it is quite loud when hammered or on down shift. At idle and cruising speed, it is decent. My y-pipe was cut near the end and runs 2 pipes to the mufflers and then goes over the axle like OEM but then it has 3-1/2 in SS tips. I had it custom by a small shop in NC. I also have a K&N aircharger which adds to the noise on accleration but I like it. It really freaks out people next to me when I hammer it. I'm used to loud after coming from a Cobra with a complete exhaust w/ a no cat x-pipe. If loud is what you want, I think no mufflers is what you will get.

My straight pipes are not "LOUD" they have a nice deep "rumble." Im one of those that likes the deep sound but not so loud you can hear me coming from a mile away! At cruising speed it mellows out nicely. But as said, I left the Cats on and went true duals out from there. If you go H-pipe or Y-pipe or whatever to straights with no mufflers...YES it will be obnoxiously loud.
