converter not locking up right

converter not locking up right

gotta superchip programer and if i set it on any of the 3 settings my converter dosnt lock up right but if i put it on stock setting the converter locks up fine....programer or converter??

You know, I've read many threads about torque converter lock up. What does it mean. What does it sound like. What does it feel like. How do you know when its locked up. What purpose does this serve.

Feels like a firm shift into a gear.Like dumping the clutch instead of riding it out for no shift jolt.

Okay, fair enough answer. I can relate to this. So, what do you do for lock up issues if you are not getting a firm shift. Is there something wrong or is there some settings you can change.

I don't have your tuner i have a DP chip from Jody Tipton and let me tell u...
there is no question your getting t/c lock with this chip. Love it! What do
your tuner instructions say?

the superchip tuners dont let you adj your shift points or lock. Im ordering a jodi tipton with in the next month ive heard nothin but good about them, what kind of settings do you have on yours?
