Blue, I wish I could supply more constructive advice, but have you tried swearing and beer?

If your knuckles ain't bleeding you did something wrong.

Heres one way, go four wheelin' in some trees and wait till one gets ripped off. Thats how I did it. Amazingly it didnt have a scratch, although the rest of the truck did. I did have to get a new one for the other side, I just used my pocket knife to pry it off of the truck in the junkyard.

LAST EDITED ON 09-Apr-01 AT 08:51 PM (EST)[p]Too funny Dave. I've had worse things ripped off in the mountain...heck, I don't believe I have a single piece of trim left on my truck. Ah well, at least its straight. Blue, I've got custom spring packs in back along with blocks. Four inches doesn't sound like allot of lift but that thing is TALL. Its funny, I get more stares and compliments on this truck with its primer black paint job than anything else I've had before (not counting my 67 merc). Oh, if the beer doesn't work try Scotch. Works for me in an emergency

Dave,
I wouldn't get that lucky.

Yeah,my truck has factory set-up in rear and 3 inch blocks in front. It clears my 36X9.00 tires great.I dont like the blocks but they have been there forever.

Hey, where can I see some pictures of your truck oleblue? I have a 1970 F-250 4x4 Sport Custom too, but I don't see many pictures of them in the archives... I want to see those tires you got on there! Is that 351W stock?

proeliator: where are the pics of your rig?

Geeze, these are the machines of legend! Do either of you guys have the 7700# GVW?

Trucks of legend...I like the sound of that! No, I have the 7100gvw, and being computer illiterate and scannerless I don't have pics of my truck in the computer. Maybe I should take it in to a Kinkos or something, I've got a great one of my truck blowing through a run with mud up to my frame. Blue, yea, blocks in front would make me real nervous but it sounds like they've always worked for you. Hows that trim coming?

Try using a bottle opener. I've used a bottle opener on the drip rail trim on a few trucks and it works great. Just take your time and wrap a little tape on the bottle opener/trim remover to prevent scratches and work from one end to the other. Hope this helps.

Blue, once you get it started off it should be able to be removed by hand that way you won't bend it just start at the lowest point on the cab and get the end loose with the opener and then gently twist and pull at the same time with your fingers worked great on the stang!!!! John
