Making Adjustiable Rockers
Me and my dad were talking trying to fix my valvetrain problem without spending $400 on Adjustiable Rockers when an idea hit me but I have'nt seen it on here yet.Is it possible or has anyone done it or even tried it.making adjustible Rockers for a 390 using adjustable rockers off of a 351 or any motor that had adjustiable rocker.Could you just take the shaft and rockers and add a 390 rocker stand and springs for the right height space.If the shafts were the same diameter could you just swicht the Rockers.If anyone had info on this I would be thakful.

shaft rockers are a relatively FE only thing, none of the other major V-8's made in the 60's-late 70's had shaft rockers aside from the Boss429 I bought my adjustable rockers for I think 117 or so, they were federal mogul stock replacements, and any time you spin the engine over 5500 regularly you should step up to thicker shafts and add end stands.

Several have tried this, the straight 6 ford was close but didn't work. You don't need to pay $400, they are used for $125 and then you just need the right push rods.
427: where did you get the rockers new for $117, I'd take a set for that price? Most are $176 for a new set.
