backing plates

does anybody know where i can get a pair of sheet metal backing plates that covers the rotors on a 78 or 79 f-250 dana 44 front axle,can,t find these items new or used any where, can any body help me

I had an almost exact same request about 6 months ago and after reading the answers, came to the conclusion that they were "perhaps??" of use if you stayed on the pavement but probably were a detrement if you used the vehicle off road. I left mine off and have no plans on putting them on.

pat,your right they don,t look like they would serve any real purpose,you would,nt still have them off your truck

Nope, mine were rusted badly and I jumped through multiple hoops trying to find some, was thinking of building some and then passed on the idea completely.
