Will the doors off a 74 F-250 fit a 78 F-350? They look the same but I can't get the 2 trucks together side by side to compare. Are the breaks in the metal the same for each year? Will the breaks in the 74 doors line up with the rest of the 78 truck?
Thanks
Thanks! Will the 74 grill, door and fender fit a 72 F-350? They look the same, as far as I can tell. I have a 72 and a 78 F-350 and have found a 74 F-250 with an old dump bed cheap and am hoping to play mix and match!
all truck body parts from 67-72 will interchange and all body parts from 73-79 will interchange.but the bodys from 67-72 will not change with 73-79.but the big uhaul type trucks had different stuff so if it looks the same as what you got most likley it will work.

58Model, If the door and fender look the same on your 72 F-350 and a donor 74 truck then I suspect your 72 is probably a 1973 model that was manufactured in 1972. There is a very obvious difference between 72 and 73.
The 1967-1972 door and fender have the body line stamped out creating a convex bulge down the length of the truck... I call them "outties" ...
The 1973-1979 door and fender will have the body line stamped in, creating a concave line down the length of the truck... I call them "innies".
Find a 1967-72 truck and you'll see the difference from your 78.

Just remember that as the die stampings aged the parts changed gradually. Meaning some lines are not as crisp etc. So, although the parts are a definite interchange the body lines might be a little less than perfect due to the stampings on the 74 being only 2 years old vs.5 or more on the 78.
