Oh Yeah.....
It's funny I was in Yellowstone 2 summers ago and was in awe at paying 2.06 for gas while visting the park. I thought it would get to that price some day, just not so soon. 2.06 can alomst seem cheap now
I wonder what it will be at Yellowstone this summer....
When I started Driving, gas was 17 cents a gallon. I always wondered where I would get enough money to fill the tank. I worked in a Shell station, and only made 65 cents an hour. Between beefing up the 440 Mag and replacing tires, gas was a luxery.

Does that give away my age.
Dang! there are some guys around here as old as me!
Nice thread. Really takes ya back. In june 98 when I got this beast gas was a little over $1/gal. Those days were great. Nowadays I can hardly go on a drive anywhere far outside of town. I still got my chip on buying premium though. Even that's getting to be a consideration since the spread of super over regular unleaded at sations like Chevron and Shell is getting larger. I don't care, I'll continue to drive the truck to do errands over the wife's 02 Corolla anyday. She's gotta get a new vehicle soon, already eyeing the new Honda truck, when we give that to our son for college. It's gonna have to be a damn nice truck to pry my hands away from the steering wheel of this lifted Ford V10.
