Engine Knock

My '99 5.4 F150 W/75k Has Developed An Engine Knock. It Seems To Come From The Lower End, And Usually Goes Away After Warmup. Is This A Rod, Or Are There Other Causes? It Is A "regular" Sound, Not Intermittent Like A Belt, And Is Not A Sharp Rap Like A Valve Lifter.

Any Ideas Would Be Appreciated, Thanks!

Look in the 4.6/5.4 forum. There is a 500 page thread on this. (not really 500) What I recommend is to let it run a couple minutes before rammin' the roads.

mine also is 99 150 5.4 ,but upper noise ,goes away after warm up.

It is a common noise in the Tritons on a cold or wet day during warm up. I would not worry about it unless it gets worse or begins to do it after warm up.
