I've got a 1990 F-150 Lariet 2wd with 5.0, and last summer my a/c started acting up. When idling, it blows from the dash vents like it's supposed to, but during acceleration, the cold air switches to the floor vents and or the defrost vents. Whats going on??
I have had this happen on 2 different F150s. Both times it was the check valve that makes a T junction right nest to the heater box under the hood. It is located really close to the AC dryer.
