basically, if you have a continuing problem, acknowledged by the dealer, and it has not or can not be fixed within 3 attempts, or you veh is out of service for over 30 days for a repair, you can file for lemon law, but if you have a good case the company will most likley buy your veh back instead of going to court, if they go to court, they most likely will win
I'm going through this process right now. Be prepared for it to take a long time. Some states have different laws. I got a reply to contact the Dealer Licensing Board on this forum. They say the dealers do not like that. If you can't get a resolution you could also try contacting your attorney general. That will be my next step tomorrow if no one calls me.
My truck has been at the dealership 45 days now and counting and they haven't provided a loaner. they say I'm lucky my dad has something I can drive
When you say "continuing problem", does that mean it has to be the same problem? I have made numerous trips to the dealership to have various things repaired (Covered under warranty) and it's getting aggrivating. Also, are there any time constraints as to when the vehicle was purchased? I've had mine for about two years but only have about 17K miles on it...
I know in KY that if it has been out of service for a total of 30 days OR been repaired for the same problem at least 4 times then it qualifies as a lemon.
Some states are different you can probably find out on the attorney general's website for your state of contact the BBB
the phone number for the BBB Autoline is 1-800-955-5100
they can send you a packet and some info to see if you qualify for their process for a repurchase or a replacement.
Call ford and file complaints everyday if you have to
