Mallory ignition

I have a MSD 6A on my 79 F-150 4x4 with a 302. I needed the rev limiter after hitting 8K on the tach during the mud drags. And I have a stock remanufactured dizzy. I like the ignition but I dont like the dizzy. I have a suspicion it wasnt rebuilt quite right. Next time I need a new dizzy I plan on getting one of those DUI's.

I tried to wire up the mallory box to the stock distributer and it would not work. The instructions with the box does not give an example of this setup. I know it will work because I ran it on my 84 stang when it had a stock distributer in it.
