Casting Number Help
Hi ya'all,
Can someone hook me up with a direct link to a casting number decoder or break this one down for me? I tried to search for one but couldn't figure out how to find it. Anywho, here's what we found under the grease and grime:

I believe the engine is a 1977 351M. We are taking it in to a rebuilder this morning and hope to be back on the road with it next week!

Gorilla, The engine could also be a 400 cid, 351C/M/400 335 series: 8 bolts in rectangular valve covers. Timing chain housing is part of block. Thermostat housing on block. Exhaust bolt holes diagonal. Will need to pull a spark plug out and check the stroke.
