Explains why there aren't any tail light lenses - the corner tail lights were optional!

thats doesn't sound right, I have never seen one without them and it doesn't list them as an option in any literture I have read..I would think by 1960 directional signals were mandatory..but then you never know

Turn Signals were Still Only an Option till the Mid '60s.

Concur with the Colonel - then, as now, rules were different for trucks.

and here is a scary thought, a freind of mine has a 57 panel, about two years ago he went into a bowling alley and when he came out his rear lens were gone....he actually found some used ones in a junk yard but it took him eight months to find them..so I have been paranoid ever since
