78 Proportioning valve stuck

Help...I broke a rear brake line and the brake proportioning valve is now stuck. I have repaired the line but cannot figure out how to reposition the proportioning valve to allow fluid to the rear wheel cylinders. Does anyone have a way of doing this? Thanks.

It's very touchy. Slightly break a line loose on the front with somebody putting moderate pressure on the pedal. Tighten it up when the light goes out. I've had to go back and forth until I got it right, before.

Yep...I have tried that a number of times. I don't have the light hooked up. It is on my 66 and it was part of the brake conversion. I will try again tomorrow and put an ohmeter on the brake light warning switch. I had it once as I was able to get some fluid pressure out of the rear bleeders but when I re-bled the whole system it stuck again. A new Ford Combination Valve isn't available any longer so I would like to get this working instead of gambling on a junkyard part. Believe it or not I still have the holding pin I used way back then when doing brake jobs. If I can get it to reposition, I will use the pin when I bleed the system. Thanks.
