i have a 351m in my bronco and im looking for some extra hp i was wondering how much gains i can expect of taking off the smog stuff and removal of exhaust. if there is any other tricks please let me know.

Headers will get you a little, maybe even enough to feel.

What is the engine out of. If it is a car or early truck engine you could get a benefit just by changing the timing set to one that sets up at 0 instead of the stock 4 degree retard.
Milling the heads will give you a small amount in return for your time and money involved. Other suggetions as above wuld cost less thean the headwork and give you a bigger return on your investment. Tell us what you have right now in the way of your engine, miles, modifications etc, and how much money you have fo spend and we can be more specific with our help. If you go at it hap hazard and throw a feww dollars here and there at it you will eventually be frustrated and will have spent more for less in the long run. You are far better off saying I have x amount of dollars, what can I do, or if what you have is very little make a plan to save up enough to do some minor mods that make sense in both effectiveness and cost.
