Hey, I'm new to this group and want to start out by saying hi. I just bought a 2006 F150 Supercrew and was wondering if anyone has ever seen a center console with a false bottom or hidden compartment big enough to conceal a pistol. I have the 20/40/20 front seat. Just want to be able to hide a pistol to avoid theft. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

I hope your a cop and not someone going Gansta on us....
The safe is a good idea for when you are not in the truck and not carrying, but I would put it in a holster on my person while travelling. (otherwise you don't need the CHL, that is if you only take it on trips, etc. and don't carry it on your person). Mine is holstered while travelling and unless it is a bank or hospital ,etc. it is on me. I try to avoid private businesses that don't allow CHL possession.

Reason: rethink
I had a welder, weld a locking hitch pin to a steel plate and weld some swivelnuts to the underside of this plate to match-up to existing HD hardware in the truck. It took about 40 minutes with a shorty wrench to install the plate behind existing trim. I put two layers of carpet on the plate to protect the item I was locking to the plate. I had to line up two out of four digits on the combo lock, to quickly retrieve this item.
