I ordered an 06 F250 a couple of weeks ago. I don't have a build date yet. The dealer told me a new incentive program was coming out on 2/20/06. Does anyone know how that affects the Superduty? Also, I was in Boston this past weekend and I saw a Ford ad on TV that stated that the Superduty had a $2500 + $1000 Rebate. It was unclear from the ad what the flavor of the $1000 was. Ford Financing rebate maybe??? I called the local Ford dealer to ask about the rebate and he didn't know what it was and was less than helpful. I assume it was a national program. Anyone know? The whole ad was specific only to the Superduty. It could be a commercial truck rebate? I think my truck should arrive in 6 weeks. We'll see. I can't wait.
The extra $1000 is for "up fit reimbersment" mostly for commerical customers. Adding a snow plow usually.
Dealers are not privy to incentives at all. I would be surprised if the dealer actually new when new incentives were due. Seeing the current ones on Ford's website, run untim April 2nd.
Well, it's Ford Truck Month (again) in Texas and to celebrate, Ford is giving an extra $1000 matching down payment assistance. You put up to $1000 down, Ford matches it. I think it is probably through FMCC. So rebates on SD down here are $2500 + $1000.
BTW - It is also Nissan Truck Month, Chevy Truck Month and Dodge Truck month. Someone in Marketing needs to get a life.
Thanks for the information. I just went to the commercial truck website and did a build for a F250. On the build page there are numerous incentives to choose from. It is unclear whether the dates are the start date for the incentives or the expiration date. If it is the exiration date, they are pretty much all expired. You definitely don't get that list of incentives on the fordvehicles website. I have heard a lot of advertisements for Ford lease programs for the first payment. This is the first I've heard of the matching downpayment. Thanks again,
Adam
Adam- you've got that ordered as a A/Z plan, don't you? Remember not to confuse retail incentives with incentives that run with those programs, 'cause they aren't necessarily the same. Like right now.
Thanks Ernie. I did remember. It is ordered on the Z plan. I was thinking/hoping the extra $1000 was for Ford Credit financing which I believe is nationwide. Unfortunately, the Ford website doesn't have anything about it and the local dealer in MA didn't have any info. His resp0nse was pretty much "Oh yes, come on in and buy one. We'll give you the $1000 plus the $2500 off". He couldn't tell me anything specific about the commercial or the extra $1000. It seems like there is a lot more information on this board. The commercial seemed like it went by so fast and I only saw it once. I do know that it only referenced the Superduty's. Oh well. Either way, I'm getting truck in a few weeks. Just trying to budget for it since you don't know how much it costs til it comes in. Hopefully, I'll have a delivery date soon.
Thanks again,
Adam
I was just at the dealership an hour ago looking at my new King Ranch that came in today and they told me that just a few days ago Ford started a new program for a $500 gas card so I will get that in addition to the $2,500 rebate, a $500 rebate that goes with the X plan, and the dealer is throwing in $500.
That has to be regional- nothing like that out here. "Gas card" programs sound dearlership funded- Ford, for accounting convenience, sticks with cash rebates.
And again- A/Z/D/X plans can fall under different rebate parameters than normal "retail" deals. Always be aware of that.
Must be regional. I bought the truck where I live. Where I work is about 50 miles away and I noticed a few days ago they advertised the gas card. I thought it was just for that dealer. TO my surprise when I went to look at my truck the dealer told me about the gas card from ford.
Sorry I got busy and forgot you PMd me.
In regards to your rebates and such, im not sure im understanding your amounts.
You got Xplan + 2500 + another 1000 in rebates and a 500 gas card for a total of 4,000.
Do you know when the 500 gas card ends?
Congrats on the new truck...

Yes, $4,000. $2,500 is the standard rebate, $500 is a rebate that goes with the Xplan that I used, $500 is in house dealer cash, and then the gas card. I do not know how long the offer for gas card last but I will find out for you this evening when I pick up the truck.
Careful- some things changed on the 17th for A-D-Z-X.
Yea.. PB... I just checked the x-plan site and it looks like new inventory has a narrower pricing spread...
The sample delta between list and x-plan on a base Escape is now about $900 and change - or under 5% from list... ouch... how does this fair with you and Jeff?
Does this mean that Ford followed suit to GM and lowered their dealer margins?
