I bought a brand new 04 excursion with a 6.0 it only has 2700 miles I only drive it on nice days never been abused or anything and its on its 3rd turbo ( impeller gets stuck wide open or closed ) and I think it just puked again tonight! Am I the only one having this problem or are there others out ? It gets aggravating when you want to take some family and freinds out to supper and your brand new $ 53,000 excursion wont do more than 40mph and I have to park it so we can go in a 88 suburban.!!!! I start it and drive it faithfully every week to spool up the turbo.I would love to call ford and complain
since I have enuff of there vehicles but I know they wouldnt give a ****.
Thanks
I have an '04 SD F250 6.0, I know the vanes stick occaisonally or something is happening with the VGT. I drive long distances most of the time WOT there is no problems, 45-60 it will not operate properly all the time. But until it quits Ford want do anything about it.
yeah just got the news on my truck today they daid it is a problem inside of the turbo but wont replace because of the 4" down pipe!! they alsdo said the reason it is acting up is because the downpipe made it over boost? i dont think so. i called another dealer and they said they could do it because the down and exhaust will help it breath the turbo breath better.huh!! figure that
