The wife was already ticked off as the Laredo would not start. She also made a comment that the neighbor could not start his Silverado. As I walked outside, I glanced at the neighbor's house. The hood was up and he had placed several halogen lights under his truck. I guess he was trying to warm it up.
I walked over to my truck and the first thing I noticed was that someone had unplugged it. Well, I thought, either it will or it won't.
Shivering as I hopped it, turned the key, waited for the "Wait" light to go off and then turned it on over. It turned over twice, blew a cloud of smoke, rattled a little and fired right up.
The best way to say it, "Mr. Ken" would rap my knuckles if I typed what the neighbor said as I backed that cold 250 SD out of the drive without even warming it up.
Ahh man thats awsome. might as well tell my story about the cold weather here in SE wisconsin. early sat morning me and the old man had to go pick up a pallet of lime.{2200 LB's} it was cloudy out and had rained and snowed that night. and then the temp dropped that night to -15 degrees F, with wind chills of -25-45 below. so we hopped in my dads f-250 SD<gas> and the POS wouldnt start. some 1 didnt shut the door tight and the light stayed on and did not have the cranking power it needed. so as im sitting there making fun of it he says ok lets get in your old POS***************************** god dann truck{ya learned a few new words that day} So we hopped in it and i turned the key on and waited for the wait to start light to come on. i turned it on and off a few times to get good fuel pressure and to get them plugs good and hot.{ohh and the truck was not plugged in and didnt not have synthetic oil in the engine just shell rotella T with soot controll} and it was the moment of truth.......... as my dad is still talking ***** about my truck i turn the key. she started cranking slow and speeded up after the first 2 seconds. so i stopped and waited a few seconds and turned the key on and off 2 more times. at this point he is laughing and cussing at his truck and mine. so he said screw it and got out of the truck and started for the house so, i give her 1 more try and she fired! he stopped didnt look and shook his head and walked in the house. so i sat there and waited about 15 mins for her to warm up. and i went in and got him and said lets go. {i could tell he was still mad from the vains that were poping out of his head} so i went out and waited 5 mins and he came out. he sat in the truck and didnt say a word till we got back home and started unloading the truck. he said... wanna trade trucks, and i said sure the day that hell freezes over.

WELL, I was on the river riding my snowmachine on sunday 100 miles north of Anchorage, Alaska. It was 40deg. Thats above zero.
I think warm weather sucks in the winter.
Now that is something I have never been on. I would love to try it, but no one around me has one and mother nature sure has not been cooperating here lately anyway.
