i installed a powertrax no slip locker in my 68 f-100 about a year ago. the 9 " was a stinker to get out. the instructions said that i didnt need any special tools yet when it said to take out the screw adjustments on each side, thats were my problem came. i took em out put the locker back in then put everything back together. worked like a charm till about a couple months ago i totally let off the clutch about 4 grand and made a pretty nice show for everybody. BAM, later i found out that them screw adjustments were loose and just so happens the bearing caps broke throughing those bearings everywhere, ya alls i had left was teeth and metal shards in the bottom of the housing. and i also broke the so called unbreakable locker. my question is, what was that critical piece of information that i was missing,. did i need to set the backlash again. send all the help you can please.
