Here's one for you guys...i filled up the tank on my 99F350 and 70 miles later engine bogs down and eventually completely stops. Managed to get it to a Ford dealership and they found hair, grass and sludge in the tank.....needless to say it costs me a $1000 for a new pump and sending unit. I called the gas station and was told there is no way that would have come from their pumps as they replace the filters every 6 months. What else could it be? I thought maybe someone dumped that in there, but I was with the truck the whole time.

You might check with your insurance co. Vandalism is usually covered under the deductable.
Good call there, guzzle. I haven't had any problems with vandalism in several years (had a Cobra "Snake" emblem ripped off my '96 Mustang Cobra), but that would most certianly help offset the costs of the repairs. Just check to see how much your rates could jump, and weigh it out to see if it's worth it.
Ahh! Those were the days! Filling Dad's truck gas tank with sand. Needless to say he was pissed! We didn't know better at the time what we were doing. Got any kids? You never know.
