If I'm understanding your question right, I think I can answer that.....
I'm doing a 4x4 swap, and I had to get a new yoke because the T-case came out of a Bronco with a CV. The driveline shop that modified my stock driveshaft told me about the same thing when they called spicer. One of the guys there had me bring in the yoke to see if they had anything like it laying around. He came up with a match, except he had to machine down the area where the seal rides (I believe). The perk is that the U-joint is also 1 or 2 sizes bigger than the original.
So My advice is (if you're trying to accomplish something similiar) take it to a decent driveline shop. Chances are they'll hook ya up and it will only cost ya $75 bucks vs. half a paycheck ;-)
