Question

This morning warming up the truck I noticed my oil light on w/the coolant temp with no pressure reading. After a minute or 2 it went off and pressure was restored. I checked the oil and it looked normal to me. Anyone have this problem and can you point me in the right direction to get this taken cared of? I have about 44K on it, just a FYI.....
Thanks...

Might be just a sending unit going south or a short somewhere.

Keep in mind that the oil-pressure guage is fake. It either shows a little above the center line or nothing at all. It is triggered to go on when you reach a pressure great enough to trigger the pressure switch. You could have low oil pressure and it would show as "0" on the needle.

Mine does this when temp is cold. It takes a little time for the oil to thin out for the oil pressure to register. I don't drive though until I read pressure and temp light goes out. It takes a couple of minutes normally.
