It'd be nice if they made those in a smaller version, maybe around the size of a 250 or 350. I'm not saying I dont love my truck, but it'd be cool to drive a truck made by a truck company. It fun to drive the big trucks at work, International 4700 series with the DT466 diesel and a 20ft flatbed. Drive one of those around for a few hours and then go back to your truck, makes you feel like you're driving a car.

pretty nifty. today at the dealer, me and dad were looking at a truck JUST like kwikkordead's (same platform) with the 6.0 and no pinstriping. we are getting some work in the next few counties over and we may need something like this or that 550 we were looking at to pull a big trailer. (40' or so 5ver)

F-550=$51000
MXT=$90000

There are a few around this neck of the woods with this design. Cool concept, just sort of looks like a truck. Why not just get a truck? Maybe it'll grow on me...when the price is around $60-70K.

Man...I love those things. It would be a blast to pull up alongside the neighbors pitiful little hummer in that monster.

Thread moved to general diesel.

but is doesn't even have the towing capacity that the F-350 has.

What an overpriced joke, all that is, is an overweight truck that deducts more weight from you 26,000 pound non-commercial drivers license.

That price is for a fully loaded CXT, not the MXT. The MXT, which is a possibile successor to the current military Humvee's, has a price tag starting around 70K. The RXT, which is a vehicle with a towing capacity of over 14 tonnes goes for over 80k.

Like stated above. I don't think they Necessarily had towing in mind when they designed the MXT. It's primary purpose is to withstand the rigors that our military put the current Humvee's through on a daily basis.

The military Hummer/Humvee is a whole different animal. That MXT sits way too high to be a good tactical vehicle. Might as well paint a bullseye on it. I put many miles on a military hummer years ago. It was a good vehicle for what it was used for. It could have used a little more speed but, not bad for climbing over whatever/whoever was in the way. Little problem with land mines though.

The MXT is definitely a nice looking vehicle and with all that glass, should have a nice view for the driver. They said for those who want.."to make a statement." Another truck for the office working sect to park next to the H2 Hummer. I like my truck, for now. IMHO...
