Question Mixing fuels ?

Just running this past someone to see what they think . Been running ten percent ethenol blend gasoline in my truck with usually no problems except
some light ping at times so i tried a premium 92 or 93 octane gasoline . drove home not noticing anything . next day my truck smokes like a diesel and wont idle for crap, this being a FE 410 engine . Tried a new power valve in the holley carb and didnt help . Any ideas about the fuel ?

That shouldn't effect anything unless you put diesel in the tank. Did you double check the float levels?

What color is the smoke? Ethanol can eat gaskets and seals, so make sure the accelerator pump is still good. If you can get it to idle at all, watch for fuel drips down the carb throat.

the only thing i can think of is if for some reason the 10 percent ethenol has been eating your seals and everything but this just doesn't seem logical...you didn't ever run e85 through did you?
