Question CL requirements?

Ok so I have a few questions about being a CL.

This is for everyone in our chapter.

How much time is involved?
What are the job duties?
What is required of the CL?
How computer savy does one need to be?

Jump on in with any other questions guys.

Dave I know what you mean.

I have been on 24-7 call for the last 27 years. You get used to it. Cell phones sure made being on call alot easier.

Chapter Leader has some admin duties - moderates this board is the main one. To do that he/she should be online at lest once each day - if not more. Mostly the idea is to welcome new visitors quickly, and make sure each question is answered by someone so that the poster does not feel ignored. He does need to step in and stop any flame war before it gets started.

He/she gets the email address of everyone who signs up on FTE in the area and he should contact them and get them to join the chapter.

While I don't think he needs to attend all activities, he should strongly support them and do what is needed to make them successful.

There is a FTE website for this chapter - he needs to either maintain it himself, or oversee some other member who maintains it for the group.

While I don't see us having a lot of rules, I think FTE has some. If so, he will be responsible to see that they are followed.

Mostly I see the chapter leader as a sparkplug who promotes the chapter.
