Door pillar
Does anyone know how to remove the pillar covers? I need to replace them. Im sure its on there by 3m tapel....A little heat and it should come off, right? I am not sure where i read a post, but someone wanted to switch out their 05 covers with the 04 since they are not matte finish...its a glossy finish....someone freshen my memory please or inform me with some news

Don't remove the existing covers. cover them with 3M paint protection film. That will give you the glossy look with out the work or expense of RR the covers. Don't know what pillar covers will cost you but I'm sure it's more than a few small pieces of PPF. And on the plus side, if you ever decide you want the matt finish back, just peel off the film.

its not a matter of the finishing i prefer. its the dents. I currently have some 3m stuff on my BMW and they work great...however, its no use to cover up already existing dings.
