I have a 97 Explorer 5.0 V8 that has a passenger side headlight problem. The drivers side headlight works fine both low and high beam. The passenger side only the high beam works. Also, the fog lights stopped working at the same time that the passenger side headlight low beam stopped working. I have replaced the bulb, and replaced the fuse and they still won't work. I have also checked the wire for the lowbeam at the headlight and nothing. I also checked and I have power going to the fuse, so the problem is somewhere between the fuse and the lamp itself.
Any other suggestions?
I had same problem, and it ended up being the LOM (lamp out module) that was located under the consode on my 95. It is a small black box about the size of a pack of cigarettes. I guess there was a problem with the solder connections. I remove mine and resoldered the connections and it worked!!! I think they cost about $60, Try to resolder 1st, took about 15mins total. Hope this helps!!!
