I purchased a 56 100 with a 4-link setup the panhard was installed wrong. I bought a new one from heidts. my question is dopes it matter which side does itmount to on the frame rail. The left side is where the old one was, but the new one mounts to the front of the rear end and the frame mount end will cause me to have to remount the brake line mount.

I have used a 4 link on two different hot rods. One was mounted in front of the axle and the other was behind the axle. All the panhard bar does, is to keep the frame centered over the axle. (Side to side). Hope that made sense.
Nope. It doesn't matter which side you mount the panhard on. It will still do it's job. Just make sure it is 90 degrees to the driveshaft/frame rail and level when the truck sits on its springs. You're good to go.
