95 explorer speedo problems

95 explorer speedo problems
I have a 95 explorer ,auto 4x4 4.0. My speedo went wacky trans shifted in and out of OD and the OD light flashed.. I replaced the VSS in the transfercase it shifts okay most of the time the od no longer flashes, But im still have a speedo going wacky and the cruise control when engaged surges. Is there something else i missed that should be replaced that could cause this problem??? any help would be great.. HELP HELP HELP

I believe you really needed to replace (actually, the need is still there) the RABS sensor in the rear axle.
A check of the code that the OD light indicated would have narrowed this down.
Guesses = wasted money.
