I have finished the lift on my truck. I put the pics in my gallery.
Thanks to everyone here for all the help that they gave me answering my questions to make this truck work. It is so much better. I went with 4.56 gears and they are the cats butt, I would not want anything less. I hope to post some muddy pics once the snow melts.
x2. I really like it, but the rear blocks will make you a little unhappy, unless you do all your offroading in gravel parking lots. I got sick of mine . They were awful.
looks good, but dang those r some serious blocks....other than that...make sure you check and recheck all the bolts holdin on the radisu arm brackets and the ttb drop brackets...they like to loosen up
truck looks good but good grief do somethin about those blocks sometime in the extremely near future. it wont take much for your truck to spit those out!
Ya, I thought I would get some comments on the blocks. One day I will switch to springs, but the price was right for the kit, and for me that was a big consideration. Also, I am not throwing huge hp at them since I have the inline 6.
With the lift my driving style might change, but I am not a hard offroader. I needed more clearance so I am not hitting my hitch on every waterbar and my dif on stupid little mounds of frozen mud in the middle of ruts. If I see I am pushing it, then for sure the blocks will go and I will find some springs, but I will never go to 6 inches of hockey pucks
Stacking them is what it said in the papers that came with the kit, with the stock one on top since it will limit the amount of travel with the stop it has. We did replate the axle mount to make a better fit.
