Hi everyone, I have been getting a P0001 error code which means Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit Open. The truck sometimes misses slightly and then smoothes out. It is not listed in my repair manual and cannot find anyone including 4 dealerships to tell me where this unit is or how to fix it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Smokeless, it seems I lost about 1-2 mpg and it started when the weather got cold. It misses slightly and burps through the exhaust, then I rev it a few times and it goes away and runs like the wind. Cleaned MAF and IAC, no vacume leaks and a good PCV valve.
www.obd-codes.com i have only seen that code one time and that was after i put in a plug in tuner into my 95 f 150.
sure sounds to me that you have used a tuner , if so try removeing it and see if this one goes way.

Hi Captchas, you're right, I programmed the truck with a Hypertech Power Programmer III. I like the extra zip it provides but did not have any codes before that. I have removed it and reprogrammed it several times, the code has not come back but the problem still remains, intermittent slight miss and burping through the exhaust with or without the programmer. I can't leave anything alone. Thanks for replying
is this problem when it's cold? if so i would look at the engine temp. sender as starting to go south. which gas motor 5.4 or v10?
the link i gave is a good one to hang unto for checking what codes are and for what reason.

Thanks for the link. I have the V-10 and it happens when it's hot or cold, some days not at all.
