I'm not buying steel braid. At least it's braided on the outside for looks. It is internally braided and rated at 4000psi. I would recommend black cloud, because theirs have the 45 degree fittings, which help to ease install. If your not happy with the price. Email me at txsnyper@houston.rr.com ,I may be able to help you.

The forum won;t let me put me email address. txsnyper @ houston .rr. com maybe that will work. The forum says they worry about bots/viruses getting to the forum, so I typed it so it does not show up as an email or a link. Not trying to upset the forum guys. "forum guys" please let me know if this is okay?

I used this thing extensively when putting in my regulated fuel system!! Craven had a great idea with this.
Another thing I found useful was to go buy yourself one of those thick moving blankets to lay on top of the motor while you work on it. I got mine at a local U-Haul rental place. It was about $15. And it made laying on that motor a lot more comfortable.

I agree about the thick blanket. Whish I had thought of it myself. I still have bruises on by thigh and side from laying on the motor(almost 2 weeks ago) when doing my fuel mod.

I have a 6in lift and 35" tires and my HPX line went in OK. Started from the driver side (took off the air cleaner and tubes to the Turbo to make some room) and crossed over to the passanger side. Only problem is I took my time and by the time I was ready for the passanger side, oil was already dribbling out of the HPX line onto the motor. I had a little clean-up to do after the install. My HPX connector were at a 135* angle and not 90*. After it is installed, it is pointed directly to the other side.

Okay I get it, I'm just goofy and can't get it. I am going to remove to air tube to allow more room and ease the install. I'll get it all done in the morning, shortly after I make my "craven mod". Honestly I don't know if I'm more excited about the hpx mod or the "craven mod".

Hey Kawika,
Do you like the blue cps? Does it do what people claim? Where the hell did you find it? I'm sure all this is covered in another forum, but it so hard to sort through all that mess.
Also do you have a "craven mod" to work on your truck?

Here is the Blue CPS

We have gone through a few dozen of them so far. No complaints! Only good feedback!

I picked the 'Blue" CPS at my local International dealer. Just went over there and requested the part by part number (1807339C92), a few minutes later I out the door with the blue cps. I have not had any problems yet. Motor seems quieter, and starts up better in the am if I forget to plug it in. It was about 7* here yesterday and I just happen to forget to plug it in again and when I tried to start it, it complained (Starter motor was very slow), started and loped two time and settled down to a loud purr until it warmed up. With the old stock cps it would lope a few times and die, do this a couple of times before fully starting (and smoke like crap).
The two things I have noticed with this Blue CPS, good starting and quieter operation. MPG is not noticeable better, foots into it too much. It did make my lie-o-meter in the console a little more accurate, but still way off from paper and pencil.
Would I buy another Blue CPS again, sure. But ask me that again in 20K miles. My first OEM CPS went out at 12K. Removed the second to replace with the Blue CPS at 36K. I have 40K now with no issues. I carry the old CPS just in case (as should anybody that has a 7.3).
My baby is 5 yrs old and has not cut her baby teeth. I'm not even sure the motor is broken in yet. But she can blow a stock tranny. I'm on my second and it starting to slip like crazy. Time for a Monster box or something. I have to convince my wife that if we eat less and not go out any more or buy any gifts for anybody (except for my monster box), that in a few months it may be feasible (Tax returns!!)

No craven mod, just a foot stool or small ladder.

What size and type of thread is needed? I can have these made at one of our shops. Also, what length is needed for a straight one?

I don't recommend a straight one. Your best bet it to buy one from BlackCloud Diesel. Theirs have the 45* fittings on them, and that makes them much easier to work with. I haven't figured out the "perfect" length yet. You will have to do that on your own. If you plan on making and selling these things, good luck. If you are going to a hydrolic line shop, you are still going to pay good money for it. It will still cost you around 23 bucks with fittings and caps (I have already priced it all). Then you have to sell them, and a bunch of them in order to make any money. Well at least enough to make it worth your while. BUT with all that said, GOOD LUCK.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE "CRAVEN MOD". I made mine yesterday, and love it. That has got to be the best mod yet. It is sure to add at least 100 horse (ha ha).
Honestly do think it is a great mod. I used a 2"x12"x4' to make mine. It give plenty of room to stand and work.

Everyone should do it.

Other mods include but not stopping at:
6.5" Pro-Comp lift, 37" tires, 80hp superchips, 4" turbo back, K&N intake, wastegate deactivate, superwhite headlamds and foglamps (bright as heck), CB & 400 watts-o-power. Still need mo ponies though.
