Rookie Request
Hi All. I've got a '96 F-150 Super Cab 4x4. All stock except the K&N air filter. Have been browsing these boards for awhile and have learned a great deal, but not enought to ask the right questions. Need to learn alot about suspension & drivetrain assemblies. Is there a link for newbies? A diagram listing the various/numerous parts (radius arms / ball joints / etc.) would be extremely helpful.

Perfect. This is exactly the kind of direction I need. I've only had her a year now, but am the 2nd owner and the truck was family was my uncle's. Only 80k miles and he was meticulous with mainenance, but it's from Michigan and rust is starting to pop up in the fenders, cab corner and somewhat on the frame. Also, there is a "hum" when I let up on the gas that my mechanic says is the sound of the rear end starting to go. I think she's got alot of miles left, but I'd like to upgrade as various parts wear out.....or at least not get suckered into paying for crap.
