This might sound like a stupid question to anyone with basic electrical knowledge, but I have confused the hell out of myself looking at the Power Door Locks schematic and the instructions for a Keyless Remote System that I am trying to install on my 'Star.
Looking at the schematic, there is a Unlock and a Lock wire going into the relay module and a Unlock and Lock wire going out to the Door Lock Motors. Obviously I want to splice into the wiring before the Relay to trigger the relay. My question is will it take a positive or a negative pulse to trigger the relay?
Behind the kick panel is a bunch of wires and connectors. For my model years (93 & 95) the Pink/Yellow is the Positive Lock Trigger and the Pink/Light Green is the Positive Unlock Trigger. These lines activate internal door lock relays, so they don't require much current. You should be able to hook them directly to your alarm or keyless entry module without going through any external relays.
