Cheap Battery

I had to buy a cheap battery for my 95 F150 5.0. Now trans. shifts hard sometimes and guages are not steady. I have been told even if the truck is starting fine the battery can cause these problems if too small. Does anyone know if this is true?

A low battery may do it so would a bad ground alot of things might do it. When you say not steady which gauges do it?

The voltage guage and the speedo. I am pretty sure the battery is causing this but the trans I am not sure of.

If the speedo does it check your VSS and when was the last time you flushed the diff? For the volt gauge check you engine grounds and the terminal connections and your alt connections.
