Question 460 build

i have a 77.5 f-250 crewcab 4x4 i am going to put a 460 engine and a 4 spd trans with 4.10 gears a am going to put 38 inch tires on my truck so for road speed 65 mph it would rev 2300 rpm so i would need low end torque and still have fairly good mpg and not spending my savings on just the engine. i want to keep the stock botom end and heads maybe a three way cut, leaving the cam i have seen ppl talking comp cam exeream 4x4, timing set (advanced, strait up, or retarted) and intake and carb.

about the only head you do NOT want under any circumstances is the D2VE casting number, it's a very large open chamber design that is very prone to detonation (pinging) any other head can be made to work just fine. If you do a little reading you will find that there is some disagreement on the heads you want but don't bother going out and spending extra money to buy any particular one, even though some on here will tell you that you need DOVE heads this is not true.
