which rear

hey guys, how do you tell which rear end is in your truck
i have a 99 drw f350. i know it is either the 10.5 or the dana 80
what is the easiest way to tell?

If it still has the factory diff cover there should be a metal tag being held on with one of the diff cover bolts that has the info you are looking for on it. If the tag is gone you can always call your local Ford dealer and give them your VIN number and they can look it up for you. I actually done this with my truck. Gave them my VIN number and they gave me a print out that lists every single item my truck has on it. Having this list comes in handy.
