C6 Remanufactures
Has anyone had any experience with the rebuilt transmissions sold by Advance Auto parts?
My local guy says he can get one for me for $500. I figure that's a better alternative than rebuilding it myself. If it doesn't last thought it's not.
Just looking for opinions and possible alternatives.

Having just gone through a rebuild myself, I can tell you that your best bet is to find a good local shop. You can usually get your current tranny rebuilt for a little bit more than what you are looking at now, and you should have a decent warranty too.
