I bought a NIB AIC (APCM) control off Ebay, it works great on the manual mode, but it won't work in automatic. I'm following all of the instructions in fords book but it won't kick up automatically.
Also I don't have any read out of the rpm's, voltage, etc. Just a big ole zero. Any ideas?

This sounds familar....I can't find any threads to support my hypothosis, but I think that the manual mode is all you get when installing the APCM in the older trucks.
I know a few guys on here run them....so hopefully you'll get the real story soon.
A friend of mine put on in his 96, aic unit has the same build date as mine, and everything works. He put it in his 97 and it works there too. I haven't been able to catch up with him to put my aic in his truck.
Which fuse block should I look in? I checked most of them recently while diagnosing a trailer brake problem and they were all good. Nothing else in the truck seems to be acting up.
I checked all the fuses this morning and they are all OK. The one looks like it was stepped on before it was put in, but the fuseable link is still intact.
