Heater swap
The truck that I am rebuilding has that box under the hood which makes it hard to get the last few plugs. I was wondering I got a new heater core and blower from my other truck that I am driving but it has everything under the dash could I swap my under the dash one and put it in the other truck and do away with that box on the out side. The truck had a/c but eveything thing is gone on the motor and a/c isnt that big for me heat is though

well thats what I am wondering I have never tore one apart. Maybe be able to cut parrt of the fire wall out of the other cab to fix it but dont know just trying to get some info or if someone has done it before. The heater in the truck Im rebuilding doesnt work and has alot of vacum hoses. mine has two cables to control evey thing I like it that way simple

I never done it, but a buddy of mine has gone from having no AC to having AC and cutting out that big hole. It seems it would be the opposite, by covering the hole. By taking sheet metal over the hole, recut holes for fan motor and heater core on sheet metal.
