Its time for me to put on a new exhaust on my 1999 F-350 SC 4x4. I did buy a set of stainless headers for it and i would like to replace the hole system and retain the sensors with two high flow cats and an x pipe. I would like to have a true dual system from the headers back. I don,t want a stock front pipe. I have a V10 with 4:30 gears and 35 inch BFG,s. I want more performance and I know I won,t get better fuel milege. A 2 1/2 inch or 3 inch complete system, both sides. The truck only has 76000 miles on it. The sound can be quiet or a little rumble. Thanks for the help! Ron
stay single .use a y pipe mod up front and go with a better system behind the cat.
and i agree it will have a ricer on roids sound due to the 72 deg firing order.you can trust me on that one . it's 10 not a 8 with 90degs of fireing order. they sound funny opened up.
The X-pipe does help get rid of the ricer sound. I hated the sound of mine til I did the X.
I used a couple generic muffler shop 2 1/2" in and out mufflers and it sounds good to me. Not loud but a bit of a rumble.
